The Landes – Hossegor
As the surfing capital of Europe, boasting vast stretches of fine sand nestled between the sea and the mountains, the seaside resort of Hossegor offers a wealth of sports and wellbeing activities across the ocean, the lake, and the forest. A total change of scenery and relaxation are guaranteed. From surfing and stand-up paddleboarding to ‘beachfit’ sessions, yoga, fat biking, and many other activities—it’s all available in Hossegor!
A few examples of the activities I offer in Hossegor:
:
Surfing Lessons:
Take advantage of being in Europe’s surfing capital to try this amazing sport. Enjoy a surfing lesson led by certified instructors in total safety. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your adrenaline up, recharge your batteries, and disconnect in the heart of nature.
Yoga Classes:
Yoga offers numerous benefits for both body and mind. Make the most of your stay in Hossegor to improve your well-being, adopt a healthy posture, increase flexibility, and strengthen key muscle groups. It is the ideal complement to surfing. For more information on this, click here
Stand-up Paddleboard / Kayak / Hawaiian Canoe / Giant SUP Rental on Hossegor Lake:
Enjoy outings on Hossegor’s marine lake on a stand-up paddleboard, Hawaiian canoe, Canadian canoe, or giant SUP. All of these are accessible to everyone and allow you to explore the lake in complete tranquillity at high tide
Bike Rental:
What better way to discover the region and get around than by bike? Leave the engines behind and enjoy nature. The Landes region is fortunate to have the extensive and relatively flat “Vélodyssée” cycle path network. Bikes can be delivered directly to your hotel, with attractive group rates available. Rental is highly recommended if you are staying at Naturéo in Seignosse, which is further out from Hossegor town centre.
Hossegor stretches across seven kilometres of beaches. La Gravière and La Plage des Culs Nus are two world-renowned spots, famous for their unique configuration shaped by the “Golf de Capbreton”, an underwater canyon. Every year, the world’s top surfers gather here to compete in international tournaments.
On the other side, the calmer waters of Hossegor Lake attract fans of stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing. At the far end of the lake, you can sample the famous Hossegor oysters and enjoy an evening aperitif at the traditional oyster shacks. Make the most of the cycle paths running along the shore to cycle around the lake in a natural setting, sheltered from the wind by the pine forest, to recharge your batteries.
