Hendaye
Hendaye is a charming coastal town in the French Basque Country, where the Pyrenees moutains meet the Atlantic Ocean. It is a popular destination for surfers, hikers, and nature lovers, who enjoy its long fine-sand beach, picturesque coastal path, and breathtaking mountain views facing Spain.
Located on the border, opposite Hondarribia, Hendaye is an ideal destination for a “Surf & Yoga” break, with its 3km long beach and waves perfectly suited for learning surfing. It is a lovely, quiet Basque town offering the chance to explore the Basque Country on both the French side and the livelier Spanish side. In Hondarribia, which guests can reach in just 5 minutes by boat from Hendaye’s harbour, they will discover a different atmosphere and can sample the famous pintxos (Basque tapas).

All-Terrain Electric Scooter Mountain Descent
This is the new outdoor activity to get you off the beaten track! Often called a “Mountain Scooter,” it is similar to a downhill mountain bike but without pedals. With a low centre of gravity, 24-inch tyres, and hydraulic disc brakes, you’ll get your adrenaline fix while enjoying sublime natural scenery

Kayaking or Stand-up Paddleboarding down the Bidasoa River:
In the heart of nature, between France and Spain, you will descend the Bidasoa River surrounded by peace and greenery. Whether in a kayak or on a SUP, you will enjoy the gentle gliding sensation, including a short break where the more daring can jump from the rocks.
Rafting in Bidarray or Navarrenx
Looking for thrills? I offer excursions to Bidarray and Navarrenx (approx. 1 hour from Hendaye, return transfers included) to raft down the rapids of the Nive or the Gave d’Oloron. For the Navarrenx excursion, a grilled BBQ lunch can be arranged on-site (lamb chops, spicy sausages, Basque cake, and wine included).
Tree climbing or Paintball
Set within the forest, this adventure park offers tree climbing with various difficulty levels ranging from 3 to nearly 20 metres high. The park also features a paintball arena of over 1,200 m².
